MasterCutter is a Minecraft Java mod and datapack that turns the stonecutter into a general-purpose cutting table with more than 500 new recipes. It runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the same recipes also ship as a plain datapack. It is required on the server and optional on the client.

- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.2 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What the new recipes do
- Woodcutting: one log, wood, stem or hyphae yields 4 buttons, 2 doors, 4 fences, 1 fence gate, 4 planks, 8 slabs, 4 stairs, 4 trapdoors and more. Planks cut into buttons, fences, slabs, stairs and trapdoors.
- Enhanced stonecutting: stone cuts straight into cobblestone and its derivatives, deepslate into cobbled deepslate, and mossy or polished blocks back to their plain forms.
- Copper: one copper block gives 24 bars, 8 chains, 2 doors, 4 trapdoors or 4 lightning rods, at any oxidation level and waxed or not.
- Recycling: stairs, doors, trapdoors, fences and fence gates cut back into smaller parts such as the full block, a slab or buttons.
- Un-crafting: amethyst blocks give 4 shards, prismarine 4 shards, quartz blocks 4 Nether quartz, and sandstone 4 sand.
How to install MasterCutter
Pick one route. For the mod, set up Fabric or Forge and NeoForge first, or read the general mod install guide.
- 1.Datapack route: open the world's datapacks folder and drop the MasterCutter file into it.
- 2.Mod route: put the MasterCutter .jar file in the mods folder (.minecraft/mods with the vanilla launcher), then start the profile for your loader.
- 3.Join the world and run /reload.

How do I install MasterCutter?
Choose the datapack or the mod. The datapack file goes in the world's datapacks folder. The mod .jar goes in the mods folder for a matching Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt profile. Either way, join the world and run the /reload command so the new stonecutter recipes load.
Does MasterCutter work without a mod loader?
Yes. The datapack release carries the same recipes and needs no loader. You place it in a single world's datapacks folder, so it applies only to that world.
Does MasterCutter need to be on the server?
Yes. It is required on the server and optional on the client. A multiplayer server without MasterCutter will not offer the new stonecutter recipes, so the server owner needs to install it.
