The Lost Castle is a Minecraft Java mod for Fabric and NeoForge, with older Forge builds, that adds one enormous castle to world generation. It began as a structure inside End Remastered and now stands on its own. It runs on the server side.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 26.1.2. The newest build requires Fabric API; some builds for 1.19.2 to 1.20.6 need no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.1 to 26.1.2. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.20.1, builds stopped after June 2023. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What waits inside the castle
The castle holds what the mod's page calls infinite fortune and the mysteries of a long forgotten civilization that vanished long ago. Illagers guard it and will not give up their treasure, even if defending it means the end of them, or the end of you.
Finding the castle
You do not stumble on it by accident. A journeyman cartographer gives you a map, and the map leads you to the castle.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric or NeoForge for your Minecraft release, following the Java mod installation guide if you are new to loaders.
- 2.Place the mod's .jar file in the mods folder of the server, along with any required dependency listed above.
- 3.Start the server with the loader's profile, then get the map from a journeyman cartographer.
The trade-off is scope. This is one structure, not a new dimension or a quest system, and its rarity means many players will spend real time travelling before they see it. Because the mod is server side, players joining a multiplayer world do not need to install it themselves.
