TotemCounter is a Java mod for Fabric, Quilt and NeoForge that counts totem pops and shows the number above every player's nametag. It also tracks the totems in your own inventory. It runs on the player side only, so nothing needs installing on the host you play on.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric and Quilt: Minecraft 1.16.5 to 26.3. The newest build requires ukulib; some builds for 1.18.2 to 1.20.2 need no dependencies; some builds for 1.18.2 to 1.19.3 require Fabric API and ukulib.
  • NeoForge: Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. The newest build requires ukulib.

What TotemCounter shows

  • A readout of how many totems you carry in your inventory.
  • A colored XP bar that changes with your totem count.
  • Reset by hand from the options or with a keybinding.
  • Automatic reset on death, or at match end on supported hosts.

Trade-offs

The feature set is small: a pop counter, an inventory totem count and a colored XP bar.

Questions about TotemCounter.

2 questions

Does TotemCounter need to be installed on the host?

No. It is installed only on your own machine, and the host side is unsupported. The automatic match-end reset works on hosts that support it.

Can I reset the totem pop counter?

Yes. You can reset it from the options screen or with a keybinding. It also resets on its own when you die, and at the end of a match on hosts that support that.
