AxTrade is a trade plugin from ArtillexStudios for Paper, Spigot, Folia, Purpur and Bukkit servers. It handles multi-currency trades between players and ships with a fully configurable GUI. It is required on the server only, so players join with a normal install and add nothing.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.18 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
How trading works
A player shift right clicks another player to start a trade. Any item can go into the window, including items with custom NBT data. Shulker boxes and barrels can be viewed from inside the trade, and both players get a summary once it completes.
- Multi-currency support across many economy plugins, with the full list on the wiki.
- Custom currencies, which you define through PlaceholderAPI.
- Trade history kept in log files, so past trades can be reviewed.
- A blacklist that blocks trading in chosen worlds or gamemodes.
- Compact number formatting such as 1K or 10M, plus built-in item translations.
Installation and setup
- 1.Drop the plugin file into the plugins folder of your server. The guide on installing plugins on a Paper or Spigot server covers the steps.
- 2.Edit the configuration and GUI layout to taste.
- 3.Check the wiki for commands, permission nodes and placeholders, which the plugin page leaves to the documentation.
Performance and limits
The creator describes the plugin as fast and light on TPS. Data is stored in H2 or SQLite, and no other database is listed, which is enough for most servers but worth knowing if you plan around a shared external database.
Questions about AxTrade.
3 questions
How do players start a trade in AxTrade?
Players shift right click another player to initiate a trade. Any item can be placed in the trade, and players get a trade summary after a successful trade. Commands and permission nodes for the plugin are documented on the wiki.
Does AxTrade work on Folia?
Yes. Folia is listed among the supported server software, alongside Paper, Spigot, Purpur and Bukkit. The plugin advertises Folia support directly, so it needs no separate edition or extra dependency on that software.
Can AxTrade trade items with custom NBT?
Yes. AxTrade lets you trade any item, including items carrying custom NBT data. It also includes a shulker and barrel viewer. Every trade can be looked back on later in the trade history log files, and players receive a trade summary after each successful trade.
