ItemSwapper adds a hotkey-triggered item switch wheel to Minecraft Java. Hold down a key, R by default, while holding certain items, and a wheel of related options appears around the cursor. Release the key to swap to the option under the cursor. The core feature ships as a Fabric client mod that requires Fabric API. A smaller, separate plugin for Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, and Spigot adds support for swapping items from shulker boxes over multiplayer, but it does not add the item wheel by itself.
What ItemSwapper changes in Minecraft
The item wheel reacts to what is already in your hand. Pressing the hotkey while holding a plank shows the other wood types. Holding a dye shows the color range. Holding a tool shows other tools from your hotbar and inventory. Holding a potion lists your other brewed effects. The wheel is fully re-themeable through resource packs, so a modded or custom item set can define its own swap groups instead of the built-in ones.

The Fabric mod and the server plugin are not the same download
ItemSwapper is a dual release, and the two sides move at very different speeds. The Fabric mod is the actively maintained one: builds go back to 2023 and the newest build supports Minecraft 26.2, with Fabric API required as a dependency. The Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, and Spigot plugin is a smaller, separate release that last updated in August 2023 (build 0.2.1) and tops out at Minecraft 1.21.8. It has no dependencies of its own, but on its own it only unlocks shulker box swapping for players who already have the Fabric mod installed client-side. It does not add the hotkey wheel to a server that only runs the plugin.
Installing ItemSwapper
For the item wheel feature, install Fabric Loader first, then add Fabric API and the ItemSwapper jar to your mods folder. For the shulker box feature on a server, install the Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, or Spigot build the same way you would add any other server plugin.
