LoadersBukkit, Paper, Purpur, Spigot
Minecraft versions1.20, 1.20.6, 1.21.11

ShopGUI+ DynaShop is a dynamic shop plugin that turns the fixed prices of ShopGUI+ into a supply and demand economy. It runs on Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot servers. Only the server needs it, so players join with a normal client.

Server software and versions

  • Bukkit and Purpur: Minecraft 1.20 to 1.21.11. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • Paper and Spigot: Minecraft 1.20 to 1.21.11. The newest build needs no dependencies; some builds for 1.20.6 to 1.21.5 require NBT-API.

Five pricing modes

Each shop item picks a mode in its ShopGUI+ entry with the typeDynaShop key. Buy and sell sides carry their own min, max, growth and decay values.

  • DYNAMIC moves the price with every purchase or sale, inside min and max limits.
  • STOCK raises the price as available stock drops.
  • STATIC_STOCK keeps fixed prices but limits the quantity.
  • RECIPE adds up ingredient costs for shaped, shapeless and furnace recipes.
  • LINK makes an item inherit price and stock from another item.

Installation and setup

Install it like any other plugin, following our plugin install guide, then restart the server. Items are configured inside your existing ShopGUI+ shop files, so there is no separate shop to rebuild.

Economy tools and commands

Taxes can go to a player or the system, with separate buy and sell rates. Inflation runs per day and can differ by item category. Limits cap purchases per player and item over a day, week or month. Variables such as %dynashop_current_buy% and %dynashop_current_stock% show live prices and stock in shop menus, and PlaceholderAPI can expose extra ones to other plugins.

  • /dynashop reload reloads the configuration (dynashop.reload).
  • /dynashop limit with info, reset or resetall manages limits (dynashop.admin.limit).
  • /dynashop inflation with info, enable, disable, reset or update controls inflation (dynashop.admin.inflation).

A built-in web dashboard charts buy and sell price history and transaction volume, adds indicators such as RSI and MACD, and offers price forecasts in several languages. The trade-off is tuning. The cache runs either in full mode for speed or in realtime mode for fresh data, and you pick which matters more.

Questions about ShopGUI+ DynaShop.

4 questions

What does ShopGUI+ DynaShop do?

It adds dynamic pricing to ShopGUI+. Prices rise and fall with buying, selling and remaining stock, and items can also price themselves from crafting recipes. It layers taxes, inflation and per-player transaction limits on top, all set in your existing ShopGUI+ shop files.

Does ShopGUI+ DynaShop work without ShopGUI+?

No. It is an addon that requires ShopGUI+ 1.78.0 or newer with API 3.0.0, plus Vault for economy integration. Install and configure ShopGUI+ first, then add DynaShop and mark the items you want to be dynamic.

Which server software does ShopGUI+ DynaShop support?

It lists builds for Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot, covering Minecraft 1.20 to 1.21.11. Nothing is listed for other platforms, so do not assume support beyond those four.

Do players need to install anything?

No. It is a server-side plugin, and players join with an ordinary client. Client installs are unsupported and the server is required to run it. Admins put the plugin file in the plugins folder of the server and restart it, then configure items in their existing ShopGUI+ shop files.
