ShopkeepersAddon is a Java plugin that layers economy pricing and a browsable menu on top of the standalone Shopkeepers plugin, running on Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot installs. It runs entirely on the host side; nothing installs on the player's end. On its own it does nothing, since it only adds sorting, navigation and pricing tools to shops already created with Shopkeepers.

Server software and versions

  • Bukkit: Minecraft 1.20.6 to 26.2. The newest build requires PacketEvents; some builds for 1.20.6 to 1.21.11 need no dependencies.
  • Paper and Purpur: Minecraft 1.20.6 to 26.2. The newest build requires PacketEvents; some builds for 1.20.6 to 26.2 need no dependencies.
  • Spigot: Minecraft 1.16 to 26.2. The newest build requires PacketEvents; some builds for 1.16 to 26.2 need no dependencies.

Installation

  1. 1.Confirm the host runs Bukkit, Paper, Purpur or Spigot on a covered release.
  2. 2.Install the Shopkeepers plugin first, since ShopkeepersAddon only extends it rather than replacing it.
  3. 3.Add PacketEvents when running the newest release, which requires it.
  4. 4.Place the ShopkeepersAddon plugin file in the plugins folder and restart the host.
  5. 5.Open the browsing menu with the /shops command.

Features

  • Vault-linked economy pricing with custom currency symbols and international number formatting
  • A menu-driven browsing system instead of scrolling through crowded shop rows
  • Tools for managing player-run shops
  • Bulk trading tuned to stay light even with hundreds of active shops

Compatibility

ShopkeepersAddon only works alongside the separate Shopkeepers plugin from blablubbabc, whom the creator credits directly for the base plugin. It adds no shop system of its own, so it has nothing to manage without Shopkeepers already running.

Questions about ShopkeepersAddon.

5 questions

How do I install ShopkeepersAddon?

Place the ShopkeepersAddon plugin file in the plugins folder of a Bukkit, Paper, Purpur or Spigot install alongside the separate Shopkeepers plugin, then restart. Add PacketEvents too if running the newest release. Use /shops afterward to open the browsing menu.

Does ShopkeepersAddon replace the Shopkeepers plugin?

No. ShopkeepersAddon only extends the standalone Shopkeepers plugin from blablubbabc with pricing tools, sorting and a browsing menu. Without Shopkeepers already running, ShopkeepersAddon has no shops to manage.

Which loaders does ShopkeepersAddon support?

ShopkeepersAddon covers Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot hosts across a wide release range, with per-loader specifics and dependency splits covered above the feature list on this page.

Does ShopkeepersAddon need PacketEvents?

Only the newest release does. Earlier releases for each loader run without it, so check which release is being used for a given host before assuming PacketEvents is required.

Does ShopkeepersAddon affect performance?

It advertises async processing and bulk trade optimization, aimed at keeping large numbers of active shops from slowing trades down.
