SimpleTPA is a simple TPA plugin for Folia, Paper, Purpur, Bukkit and Spigot servers. Players send teleport requests with /tpa, and the target accepts or denies them from clickable chat messages. It runs on the server only, so players join with a normal client and install nothing.
Server software and versions
- Folia, Paper and Purpur: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- Bukkit and Spigot: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What it adds
- /tpa asks to teleport to a player, /tpahere asks a player to teleport to you.
- /tpaccept, /tpdeny and /tpacancel take an optional player name when several requests are pending.
- /tpatoggle lets a player opt out of incoming requests.
- Per-player cooldowns, request timeouts and an optional stand-still warmup before the teleport.
- Messages accept MiniMessage tags and legacy color codes, and sounds are customizable.
- Optional support for several simultaneous requests.
Installation
The plugin ships as two separate files. Pick the Paper and Folia file or the Bukkit and Spigot file on the Modrinth versions tab, drop it into the plugins folder and restart. Our plugin installation guide covers the steps. The Paper file includes full Folia support with regional schedulers and async teleports.
Configuration and permissions
Defaults in config.yml are a 30 second cooldown, a 60 second request timeout and a 5 second warmup that is switched off. /tpreload applies edits without a restart. PlaceholderAPI is optional and formats player names in messages. A prefix such as %luckperms_prefix% also needs LuckPerms and its PlaceholderAPI expansion. The plugin checks Modrinth for updates every 12 hours by default.
Player commands use tpa.command.* nodes and are on by default. Admin commands are limited to operators by default:
- tpa.reload for /tpreload
- tpa.debug for /tpdebug, which logs request events to the console
- tpa.command.tphere for /tphere, a forced teleport to you
- tpa.command.tpo for /tpo, which teleports you to a player's last offline location
Questions about SimpleTPA.
4 questions
How do I install SimpleTPA?
Choose the file that matches your server software, either Paper and Folia or Bukkit and Spigot, from the Modrinth versions tab. Place it in the plugins folder and restart the server. Players need nothing installed. Edit config.yml afterwards and apply changes with /tpreload.
Does SimpleTPA work on Folia?
Yes. The Paper file includes Folia support, using regional schedulers and async teleports. The Bukkit and Spigot file is a separate download, so Folia owners should take the Paper and Folia file.
Does SimpleTPA need a permissions plugin?
No. Player commands are allowed by default, and admin commands such as /tpreload and /tphere are limited to operators. The newest build lists no required dependencies.
Can players turn off teleport requests?
Yes. Players run /tpatoggle to stop receiving incoming requests and run it again to allow them. Pending outgoing requests can be withdrawn with /tpacancel.
