What Connected Textures (CTM) Overhaul works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |

| Minecraft versions | 1.19, 1.19.2, 1.20.6, 1.21.11 |
Connected Textures (CTM) Overhaul is a 16x Java resource pack that makes neighbouring blocks join into one continuous surface instead of a tiled grid. It covers a long list of vanilla blocks, from ores to stone bricks to copper. Think of it as the connected textures overhaul for builders who want large walls and floors to read as single pieces.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.19 to 1.21.11. Some builds for 1.19 to 1.20.1 require Continuity.
What changes visually
The pack connects the textures of a long list of vanilla blocks, so a block of diamond or a wall of stone bricks can read as one shape rather than repeated cubes. The blocks it covers are listed below.
- All ores, plus diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, redstone and netherite blocks.
- Stone family: stone bricks (plain, cracked, mossy and chiseled), smooth stone, polished blocks, polished blackstone variants and reinforced deepslate.
- Copper and cut copper in all four weathering stages.
- Sandstone and red sandstone (chiseled and cut), end stone bricks, prismarine bricks, purpur pillar, quartz block and quartz bricks.
- Lighting and odd blocks: froglights, shroomlight, sea lantern, redstone lamp, tinted glass and the cartography table.
How to install CTM Overhaul
- 1.Install Continuity, or use OptiFine, so connected textures can render.
- 2.Download the .zip from the Modrinth page and place it in the resourcepacks folder (Options > Resource Packs > Open Pack Folder).
- 3.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
Our guide to installing resource packs covers the folder steps in more detail. A pack made for another release can still load but shows an incompatibility warning.
Limitations and credits
This is a player-side pack for Java only, and servers do not support it. It covers the blocks listed above and leaves everything else vanilla. Credits go to Sammydoodlew, J., SioulTheEpic, Cart3r and Miffen Kop, with xokz as the project owner.
Questions about Connected Textures (CTM) Overhaul.
3 questions
Does CTM Overhaul need OptiFine?
It needs either OptiFine or Continuity, and the pack's description says so up front. Install one of the two before you enable the pack in the Resource Packs screen. Continuity is a mod with its own page in our index, if you want to read about it first.
Is CTM Overhaul available for Bedrock?
No. It is a Java resource pack, and Bedrock uses a different pack format. Nothing on its Modrinth page points to a Bedrock release, so Bedrock players need a different connected-texture pack.
How do I install CTM Overhaul?
Install Continuity or OptiFine first. Then put the pack's .zip in the resourcepacks folder, open Options > Resource Packs, and move the pack to the Selected side. Connected textures appear on the supported blocks once it loads.
