rE-oCd

An unofficial continuation of disco_'s oCd pack that gives every newer block the same flat, tidy 16x look. It textures blocks and a few block entities, nothing more.

What rE-oCd works with.

PlatformJava Edition
Minecraft versions1.20, 1.20.1, 1.21.10, 26.1, 26.2

rE-oCd is a simplistic, vanilla-like 16x resource pack for Java, made by HoshinekoSanti as an unofficial continuation of disco_'s oCd. It carries the original's clean look to every block added from 1.9 onward, so newer content no longer breaks the style. It is a resource pack, so it runs on the client only.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.20 to 26.2.

What changes visually

The pack textures blocks and a handful of block entities (signs, boats and shulker boxes). Everything else stays as it is. The goal is to keep oCd's character without heavily editing the base pack.

  • No noise and no harsh colors.
  • All angles at 90 degrees.
  • Almost all spacing kept even, with a few compromises on certain textures.
  • Slightly stylized, highly simplified, and close to vanilla in tone.

Installing and layering

Place the .zip in your resourcepacks folder (Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder), then move it to the Selected side. Our install guide covers the steps in detail. A pack made for another release can still load but shows an incompatibility warning.

For an even plainer look, stack a simplistic pack such as Bare Bones on top of this one.

Emissive add-on and limitations

The trade-off is scope. Only blocks and a few block entities are covered, and the pack leans on the original oCd work, so it is a continuation rather than a fresh design. A Bedrock port exists, but it is not actively maintained and updates arrive more slowly.

Questions about rE-oCd.

3 questions

Does rE-oCd need OptiFine?

No. The pack itself needs no companion mod. OptiFine or Continuity is only required for the separate rE-oCd Emissive add-on used in the showcase screenshots, and Continuity needs Fabric. Without the add-on, you just place the .zip in your resourcepacks folder.

Is rE-oCd the same as the original oCd pack?

No. rE-oCd is an unofficial continuation by HoshinekoSanti. It builds on disco_'s oCd and adds matching textures for blocks introduced from 1.9 onward, while trying to leave the base pack mostly unchanged.

Is rE-oCd available for Bedrock?

The Modrinth listing is for Java only. The creator links a separate Bedrock port, but notes it is not actively maintained, so updates for it come out more slowly than the Java pack.
