| Platform | Bedrock Edition |
|---|---|
| Minecraft versions | 1.21, 1.21.132, 26.0.02, 26.3 |
Render Distance Limiter is a 16x resource pack for Bedrock that works as a render distance limiter, capping how far the world draws at 0.5, 1, 2, 3 or 4 chunks. It needs no loader and no companion pack.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3.
What it changes
Fewer chunks on screen means less work for the CPU and GPU, which is the whole pitch. CurseForge files it under Miscellaneous and PvP.
The trade-off is plain. At 0.5 or 1 chunk you see very little of the world, so scouting, navigation and spotting distant builds all suffer. It suits devices that struggle, not players who want long views.
How to install Render Distance Limiter
- 1.Open the .mcpack file with Bedrock so it imports. On Windows, double-click it. On phones and tablets, choose Open with Minecraft.
- 2.Create or edit a world and open its settings.
- 3.Under Resource Packs, activate Render Distance Limiter.
New to add-ons? The guide on installing add-ons on Bedrock covers manual folder installs. If the pack does not appear, try fixing add-ons that will not work.

Questions about Render Distance Limiter.
4 questions
How do I install Render Distance Limiter?
Open the .mcpack file with Bedrock so it imports, then switch the pack on under Resource Packs in a world's settings. Packs are enabled per world, so repeat the step for each world where you want the shorter draw range.
Does Render Distance Limiter work on Java?
No. It is a Bedrock-only pack, and Java uses a different pack format. Bedrock add-ons and packs in .mcpack or .mcaddon form cannot be loaded there.
What render distances does the pack offer?
The pack caps rendering at 0.5, 1, 2, 3 or 4 chunks. The creator's page shows a sample image for each setting, so you can judge how much of the world disappears before choosing.
Does it need any other pack or experimental toggle?
No. The latest file lists no required dependencies, and nothing in its details asks for experimental toggles. Importing the file and enabling it on a world is enough.
