What Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |
|---|---|
| Minecraft versions | 1.20, 1.20.6, 1.21.11, 26.1.1 |
Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces is a 16x resource pack for Java that replaces the flat grey interface boxes with small pixel art scenes of whatever you are using. It is a resource pack, so no loader is involved, and the latest release asks for no other mods.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.20 to 26.1.1.
What changes visually
The grey boxes you spend most of your time looking at get more personality, drawn as small pixel art scenes that match what is on screen. Everything else stays vanilla unless Shrimpsnail advertises otherwise, so the pack restyles screens without changing how they work.
- Style: pixel art scenes over the grey GUI boxes
- Resolution: 16x
- Platform: Java only, with no official Bedrock files
- Companion needs: none for the latest release, 0.8.2 BETA
How to install Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces
Extraction matters here. The README says the pack must be unpacked rather than left as a zip.
- 1.Grab the file from the CurseForge page and extract it.
- 2.Place the folder in your resourcepacks directory so the path reads resourcepacks \ Immersive-Interfaces \ assets plus pack.mcmeta.
- 3.Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move the pack to the Selected side.
If that screen is new to you, the guide to installing resource packs walks through both Java and Bedrock steps.
Known limitations
Bedrock has no official files. An unofficial port is available in the Discord. The required fonts are set for English (United States), and other languages need the script by Wolphwood at assets/minecraft/lang/$_langs.bat.

Questions about Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces.
3 questions
Is Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces available for Bedrock?
Not officially. The pack is made for Java, and the README states plainly that there are no Bedrock files. The creator says a Bedrock port is in progress, and an unofficial one can be found in the Discord server, so treat that port as separate from this release.
Do I need to extract the pack before using it?
Yes. The README says the pack must be extracted from the downloaded file. The final folder structure should be resourcepacks, then Immersive-Interfaces, then the assets folder and pack.mcmeta file. After that, select the pack on the Resource Packs screen.
Does Shrimp's Immersive Interfaces work with mods?
Textures for modded screens are planned for after the pack is finished, and the creator will accept community submissions. Until then, modded interfaces may stay unstyled. If the pack breaks a mod's screen, the creator asks for a report on GitHub or in the Discord.
