BVSF is the fast cut of BVS, a shader that preserves the vanilla look. LoLip_p made it for players whose PCs struggle even with the regular pack, so the BVSF shader trades features for frame rate. It runs on Iris and OptiFine and applies on the player's side only.

What BVSF removes
The F stands for Fast. Compared with BVS, this pack has no depth of field, no screen-space reflections and no PBR support, among other effects. What remains is a vanilla-like image with shadows and colored lighting, tuned for speed rather than spectacle.
Performance
The creator quotes 360 FPS or more, measured at 2560x1440 with 10 chunks on an RX 580 (8 GB) and a Ryzen 5 1500X. That is a single self-reported test, so treat it as a rough guide. The pack is tagged for potato, low, medium and high setups, plus a screenshot tier.
How to install BVSF
- 1.Install Iris or OptiFine first. The shader install guide covers both.
- 2.Put the pack's .zip file in the shaderpacks folder inside your .minecraft folder.
- 3.Launch Java and open Options, then Video Settings, then Shader Packs.
- 4.Select the BVSF entry in the list.
If the pack does not appear or the screen turns black, work through fixing shaders that do not load. Bedrock cannot run this pack, since Iris and OptiFine are Java mods.
