Colorful Armor Bar is a Bedrock addon that recolors the armor bar to show which armor you are wearing, a Bedrock take on Armor Chroma. It is Bedrock only and ships as a single .mcaddon file. Equip a piece of armor and the bar changes on the spot, with no extra HUD panel eating screen space.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.70 to 1.21.130. The newest build requires UI Neck; some builds for 1.21.70 to 1.21.100 need no dependencies.

The bar swaps its look based on the armor material you have equipped. Seven bar styles are included.

How to install Colorful Armor Bar
- 1.Install UI Neck, the dependency pack the newest release needs, in the same way as the addon.
- 2.Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft so it imports. Our add-on install guide covers the steps for each platform.
- 3.Create or edit a world and activate Colorful Armor Bar and UI Neck in the world's settings, under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
- 4.Load the world and equip armor to see the bar change.
Custom armor support
Armor from other addons is not supported out of the box. To add it yourself, put two textures named after your armor, ending in _full and _half, into textures/ui/colorful_armor_bar/ in your resource pack. Then add a cab:armor_data component to the armor item file with the texture name and the armor protection value. The creator also takes requests on Discord to make the addon work with other armor addons. That manual setup is the main trade-off: modded armor stays plain until someone does the work.

Does Colorful Armor Bar work with custom armor from other addons?
Not automatically. Custom armor needs its own bar textures in textures/ui/colorful_armor_bar/ and a cab:armor_data component with the texture name and protection value in the armor item file. The creator, dimzcraft, also accepts requests on Discord to add compatibility with specific armor addons.
Does Colorful Armor Bar need another pack to work?
The newest release needs UI Neck, and without it the addon will not work. Activate both packs on the world. Some older releases for the lower end of the supported range list no dependencies, so check the version list on this page.
Does Colorful Armor Bar work on Java Edition?
No. Colorful Armor Bar is a Bedrock Edition addon by dimzcraft, and Java Edition cannot load add-ons. It is built for Bedrock players who want the armor they wear shown directly on the armor bar, without a separate armor HUD taking up the screen. Check the supported versions list for the Bedrock range.
