Hallucination is a horror addon for Bedrock Edition by ThatsMG, built around seeing things that are not there, until they are. It is the kind of hallucination Minecraft addon that starts quiet and gets worse over days, aimed at players who want slow dread more than constant jump scares.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.80 to 26.30.
What it adds
A fresh world looks unchanged at first. After a few in-game days, messages begin to warn you, and one of them tells you to delete the world. Ignore it and things get worse and worse, until things start to appear and the hallucinations intensify.
- Hallucinations that grow worse the longer you stay in the world.
- A craftable protective item that can also backfire.
- Praying, which helps but only if you stand still.
- Generated structures with useful loot and lore.
- Holy salt, made by smelting a water bottle in a furnace.
ThatsMG deliberately explains little, so expect to work out most of the mechanics yourself. Coding, textures, sound implementation and testing are credited to MrGamer124.
Installation
- 1.Open the file from CurseForge with Bedrock (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets).
- 2.In the world settings, switch on the addon's behavior pack and resource pack if both are listed.
- 3.Play for several in-game days and watch the chat.
The newest release lists no required experiments or dependency packs. If the import fails or the pack does not apply, the add-on troubleshooting guide covers the usual causes, and the install guide walks through the steps above in detail.
Questions about Hallucination.
4 questions
How do I install Hallucination on Bedrock?
Open the file from the CurseForge page with Bedrock Edition. It imports itself, and you then enable the addon's packs in the world settings. Nothing happens at first, and the warning messages start after a few in-game days.
Does Hallucination need experimental toggles?
The newest release lists no requirements, so no experimental toggles are named for it. If you hit a problem anyway, check the world settings under Experiments and make sure the addon's packs are switched on for that world.
Which Bedrock releases does Hallucination support?
The listing covers Bedrock releases from 1.21.80 to 26.30, and the newest file is b0.7.0. It is a Bedrock Edition addon only, so Java Edition cannot load it.
Why does Hallucination seem to do nothing at first?
That is intended. A new world plays normally until a few in-game days pass, then warning messages begin and the hallucinations escalate. ThatsMG wants players to discover most of the mechanics on their own.
