PvP Practice Bots is a Bedrock addon from petstorebuffet that spawns fully automatic opponents. They fight, heal and defend against you, so you can drill sword, axe or mace combat alone. It is Bedrock Edition only, and Java Edition cannot load it.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 26.30.
What it adds
Everything runs through commands. Spawn a bot with /spawnbot and pick its difficulty, kit, target, name, count and skin, all optional. Difficulty scales attack speed, accuracy and habits. Remove extras with /removebots. Bots count as players, so @p, @r and @a selectors reach them.
- Prebuilt kits for sword, axe, bow and crossbow, mace, UHC, crystal and minecart fights.
- /botbuilder for custom AI bots without coding, with a CustomBot tag on each one for command blocks.
- Machine learning bots that learn from fights and share data through a global brain. Training is slow, so /mltrain pits pairs of bots against each other.
- A /duels menu for admins to create and edit duels, plus /record and /playback to watch a fight again.
- /savekit and /kit for turning your own inventory into a kit.
Setting it up
The file is a .mcaddon, so opening it with Minecraft imports it. If you have not added packs before, the add-on install guide covers the steps, and the troubleshooting guide helps when a pack will not load.
- 1.Import the .mcaddon by opening it with Minecraft.
- 2.Create or edit a world and switch on Beta APIs in its experiments.
- 3.Activate the behavior pack, and place it above Blurrys in the list if you use that pack.
- 4.Enter the world and run /spawnbot.
PvP Practice Bots v2.5 and how to share custom bots
Questions about PvP Practice Bots.
3 questions
Does PvP Practice Bots need experimental toggles?
Yes. Beta APIs must be enabled in the world's experiments, or the addon will not function. The addon also expects the most recent Minecraft release, so update the app before you import the file and turn on the behavior pack for your world.
How do I spawn and remove bots?
Run /spawnbot with optional settings for difficulty, kit type, target, ignored tag, location, custom name, count and skin. Anything you leave out falls back to a default. If you spawn too many, /removebots clears them, and it accepts an optional target.
How do the machine learning bots work?
Machine learning bots learn from fighting and upload what they learn to a global brain, which later bots draw on. Learning from one fight is slow, so /mltrain spawns pairs of bots, one focused on defense and one on attack. /mltoggle applies the learned data to the prebuilt bots.
