The Dark Infection is a Bedrock survival-horror addon by STRYFEFLEX, inspired by Scape and Run: Parasites. A biological infection spreads across blocks and creatures, and the parasites grow more aggressive the longer you leave them alone. It is Bedrock only.

What it adds
Three point systems drive the outbreak. Each one unlocks harsher behavior in stages.
- Environmental Points rise by 1 for every infected block. At 1000 points infected mobs begin spawning at night, and at 100000 points they also spawn during the day.
- Capability Points rise by 3 for each infected mob spawned and fall by 5 for each one killed. Stage 1 at 500 makes parasites hostile to players and most mobs. Stage 2 at 1500 raises attack damage to 15. Stage 3 at 4000 gives a detection range beyond 200 blocks, through walls. Stage 4 at 8000 lets them break wooden blocks.
- Transmission Points control spreading. From 100 points parasites explode upon death, and the explosions release parasitic worms. From 2000 points every variant can infect other mobs.
Sleeping lowers Environmental Points by 50, while staying awake adds 100.
How to install The Dark Infection
- 1.Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets).
- 2.Create a world or edit an existing one.
- 3.Switch on the addon's packs under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs in the world settings.
- 4.Play in survival and destroy infected zones early.

How do I install The Dark Infection on Bedrock?
Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock and it imports on its own. Then open your world's settings and activate the addon under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs. On Windows you can also place the pack folders in the com.mojang folder manually.
How do I slow the parasites down in The Dark Infection?
Kill infected mobs, since each kill lowers Capability Points by 5 while each spawn adds 3. Destroy infected blocks early to hold back Environmental Points, and sleep, which removes 50 of them. Staying awake adds 100 instead.
Does The Dark Infection work on Java?
No. It is an add-on for Bedrock, and Java cannot load add-ons because it uses a different format. You need a Bedrock device that can import .mcaddon files, such as Windows, a phone or a tablet.
