RLCraft Dregora is a hardcore survival and exploration modpack for Forge that joins the RLCraft rule set with Dregora, a custom world generator. Shivaxi publishes it on CurseForge, built with the RLCraft developers and the Dregora world team.
Loaders and versions
- Forge: Minecraft 1.12.2.
What Dregora changes
The terrain is the headline. Dregora replaces default generation with 300+ biomes, 300+ new or updated structures and persistent, lore-rich regions. Blocks from Biomes O' Plenty diversify the redesigned biomes.
- New bosses exclusive to Dregora, plus new mobs, mob variants and changed entity AI.
- A random encounter entity system and an expanded game loop with a full storyline.
- New items, weapons, loot tables and villager trades, with 100+ lore books.
- RLCraft's own layer: thirst, temperature, skill-locked abilities, no healing from food and over 340 optional quests.
Biome choice matters more than it does in vanilla. Temperature is a constant threat, so a mountain climbed without gear or a sunny plain with no shade can kill you. The pack is deliberately harsher than RLCraft, and its writers say as much.
How to install RLCraft Dregora
The creator recommends the CurseForge launcher, since manual installs often fail. If you still go manual, you need the server pack, not the client pack. Run Forge's setup, choose the client install and point it at your .minecraft folder. Then extract the server pack into that folder. Manual installs get little support, and you will be pointed back to a launcher such as CurseForge or Prism. Our modpack install guide covers the launcher route.
Server pack and memory
The pack is for Forge on 1.12.2 only, and the trade-off is its difficulty and its hunger for memory.

Questions about RLCraft Dregora.
4 questions
What is the difference between RLCraft and RLCraft Dregora?
RLCraft Dregora keeps RLCraft's survival systems, such as thirst, temperature and skill-locked abilities, and adds the Dregora world generator. That means 300+ new biomes, new structures, exclusive bosses, new mobs, lore books and an expanded game loop. It is also described as harsher than the original pack.
How much RAM does RLCraft Dregora need?
Allocate 6 GB to 8 GB of RAM. The creator warns that going higher or lower may cause performance issues. For dedicated hosts, 8 GB is currently the recommended allocation.
Is there a server pack for RLCraft Dregora?
Yes. Hosts should use the server pack rather than the client pack, and read the SERVER README OR DIE.txt file inside it, because the world will not work properly otherwise.
How do I install RLCraft Dregora?
Use the CurseForge launcher, which the creator recommends because manual installs often fail. A manual install needs Forge's setup run for the client, then the server pack extracted into your .minecraft folder. Manual installs get little support.
