The VanillaSquad modpack is a lightweight Fabric pack made for players who join the VanillaSquad survival community. It bundles performance mods, voice chat, shader support and small comfort fixes, and leaves vanilla gameplay alone. Modrinth marks it as required on both client and server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.3.
- Quilt: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 1.21.4, builds stopped after March 2025.
What's included
- Client-side optimization mods that raise FPS, reduce load and steady the game on different systems.
- Voice chat through Plasmo Voice, for talking while building, trading and exploring.
- Shader support and visual tweaks, so you can keep the classic look or switch to a more atmospheric one.
- Comfort extras such as mod menus, graphics settings, zoom, stability fixes, Discord RPC and a macOS input fix.
Who it suits
The pack exists so newcomers can join without hunting for mods or matching versions by hand. The VanillaSquad community is a private survival world built around towns, trading, events and building. It has no claims, teleports, starter kits or pay-to-win advantages.
How to install VanillaSquad
- 1.Open the Modrinth App, Prism Launcher or another launcher that reads .mrpack files.
- 2.Import the pack from its Modrinth page. The launcher downloads the listed mods and the right loader.
Our guide to installing a modpack from CurseForge or Modrinth covers the launcher steps in more detail. The pack needs no extra dependencies, and the newest Fabric builds list none.
Questions about VanillaSquad.
3 questions
How do I install the VanillaSquad modpack?
Import it from Modrinth into a launcher that reads .mrpack files, such as the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher. The launcher downloads the listed mods and the correct Fabric loader for you, so no manual mod hunting or loader setup is needed.
Does the VanillaSquad modpack add new blocks or mobs?
No. It adds no ores, mobs, dimensions or gameplay systems. The contents are optimization mods, Plasmo Voice, shader support and small comfort and visual tweaks, so the survival experience stays vanilla.
Is the VanillaSquad modpack only for the VanillaSquad community?
It is made as the pack for that private survival community, and Modrinth lists it as required on client and server. Its contents are general performance, voice and visual mods, but it is built around that community's setup.
