Advancement Plaques is a Forge and NeoForge mod that replaces the standard advancement toasts with larger, glowing plaques. If you searched for the advancement plaques mod to make unlocks feel like an event, this is the one. It is tagged for both sides, and its custom sounds shape how it must be installed.

Loaders and versions

  • Forge: Minecraft 1.12.2 to 26.3. The newest build requires [Iceberg [Neo/Forge]](/mods/iceberg), optionally Prism [Neo/Forge]; some builds for 1.17.1 to 1.21.3 need no dependencies; builds for 1.15.2 need no dependencies; builds for 1.12.2 need no dependencies.
  • NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20 to 26.3. The newest build requires [Iceberg [Neo/Forge]](/mods/iceberg), optionally Prism [Neo/Forge]; some builds for 1.20.1 to 1.21.3 need no dependencies.

What it changes

Task, Goal and Challenge advancements each get a plaque in place of the small corner toast. It works with any advancement, including those added by other mods.

Configuration and styling

  • Show plaques for any or all of the three advancement types.
  • Place them at the top or bottom of the screen, with an adjustable distance from the edge.
  • Limit plaques to chosen advancements by listing their IDs in the whitelist option.

Resource packs can restyle the plaques. The creator points to Embellished Stone (Advancement Plaques) as an example of a full reskin.

Installing and compatibility

Put the mod file in the mods folder of a matching Forge or NeoForge install, along with Iceberg where the release asks for it. The Forge and NeoForge setup guide covers the loader itself. Fabric players need the separate Fabric listing, since this page covers only Forge and NeoForge.

It is fully compatible with Toast Control. Other mods that change advancement popups may conflict, so expect to test any that overlap. The creator permits use in modpacks.

Questions about Advancement Plaques.

3 questions

Which mod does Advancement Plaques need to run?

The newest releases for both Forge and NeoForge require Iceberg, with Prism as an optional extra. Some older releases need no dependencies at all. Optional extras such as Toast Control and Jade are listed for some older releases, but the mod does not need them to run.

Does Advancement Plaques work on multiplayer?

Yes, but it should be installed on both the player's side and the host because of its custom sounds. If you disable those sounds in the config, the mod can run on the player's side only, and the plaques still appear.

Is Advancement Plaques compatible with Toast Control?

Yes. The creator states it is fully compatible with Toast Control. Other mods that alter advancement popups may not work alongside it, so report conflicts to the creator through the Discord link on the CurseForge page.
