Discord Statusbot is a server-side mod that turns a Discord bot into a live status board for your Minecraft Java world. The bot comes online when the server does and shows the player count and names in its status. It runs on Fabric and NeoForge, Forge releases have stopped, and players never install it.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.17 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.2 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.15 to 1.21.11, builds stopped after July 2025. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What the bot does
- The bot's status follows the server, so it reads as online only while the server runs.
- Online player count and player names appear in the bot's status.
- A configuration file covers localisation and other settings.
- The bot can send direct messages or post in channels on your Discord server.
- Since release 20.0, the bot can send and update a fully configurable embed.
Features differ a little between loaders. The creator is still syncing them, so check the wiki for what your loader supports. The same project also ships plugin releases for Spigot, Paper, Purpur, Folia, BungeeCord, Velocity and Waterfall, and the Spigot one supports PlaceholderAPI in its embed.
Setting it up

Yes, through a separate plugin release rather than the mod. The project ships plugin files for Spigot, Paper, Purpur, Folia, BungeeCord, Velocity and Waterfall, so one project covers mod loaders and plugin servers.
Does Discord Statusbot still support Forge?
Forge releases stopped after July 2025, while Fabric and NeoForge kept receiving updates. Existing Forge files still exist, but anyone starting a new setup is better off on Fabric or NeoForge.
