End's Delight is an addon mod for Farmer's Delight that adds culinary content to the End. It runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge for Java, and it must be installed on both sides of a multiplayer setup. FoggyHillside has published it on Modrinth since June 2023, and it is still updated.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 1.21.1. The newest build requires Farmer's Delight Refabricated; some builds for 1.18.2 to 1.20.1 require [Deprecated] Farmer's Delight [Fabric].
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.1. The newest build requires Farmer's Delight; some builds for 1.21.1 need no dependencies.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.20.1. The newest build requires Farmer's Delight.
What it adds
The pitch is narrow and clear. Food and cooking content set in the End, layered on top of Farmer's Delight instead of replacing it. Modrinth files it under food and worldgen.
This page does not list individual recipes or items, so read the Modrinth description and the project wiki before you plan a modpack around a specific dish.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge for the release of Java you want to play. The mod install guide covers the steps.
- 2.Pick the Farmer's Delight variant that matches your loader, as listed above, and keep it next to the End's Delight file.
- 3.Place both files in the mods folder of your instance, then launch with the loader's profile.
- 4.On a multiplayer host, add the same files there, since the mod is required on both sides.
Source and support
The code is public on GitHub, with a wiki and an issue tracker for bug reports. The trade-off is the dependency. Without the matching Farmer's Delight variant, the addon has nothing to build on, and Fabric players must choose between the older and the Refabricated variants.
Questions about End's Delight.
4 questions
Does End's Delight need Farmer's Delight?
Yes. It is an addon for Farmer's Delight, and the newest releases on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge all list a Farmer's Delight variant as required. Fabric uses the Refabricated variant in its newest release, while Forge and NeoForge use the regular Farmer's Delight.
Do I need End's Delight on a multiplayer host as well as on my own PC?
Yes. The mod is required on both sides, so install it on your own PC and on the multiplayer host. Use the same files in both places, along with the Farmer's Delight variant that matches your loader, because the addon is built on top of Farmer's Delight and lists it as a requirement.
Does End's Delight work on Bedrock?
No. End's Delight is a Java mod, and Bedrock cannot load mods. It needs Java with Fabric, NeoForge or Forge installed, and the loader has to match the file you download. Mods of this type work only with the loader they were made for, so a Bedrock player has no way to run it.
Is End's Delight stable enough for a modpack?
The creator calls it a beta under development and warns of possible issues and instabilities. Back up your saves often and confirm everything works in a test world before adding it to a modpack.
