Friends&Foes is a Minecraft Java mod that adds mobs which lost real Mob Vote polls, plus a few original creatures and structures built around them, such as the Copper Golem, Tuff Golem, Crab, Rascal, Glare, and Iceologer. It runs on Fabric and Quilt, works on both the client and the server, and needs no other mods installed.
What Friends&Foes adds
Most additions are self-contained mobs with their own AI, drops, and in some cases a structure to find them in. Nothing here changes world generation shape, only what spawns in it, so it pairs cleanly with a separate structures mod like Repurposed Structures if you want more to explore.

- Mauler: a desert predator that hunts in packs.
- Illusioner and Zombie Horseman: returning mobs with new structures and encounters.
Installation on Fabric and Quilt
Install the Fabric or Quilt loader first, then drop the Friends&Foes jar into your mods folder. It needs no extra dependency, unlike many Fabric mods that require Fabric API. Add it to both the client and the server, since mob spawning and worldgen are server-authoritative; a client-only install will not add anything on a multiplayer server.
Supported Minecraft versions and loaders
The current Fabric and Quilt release reaches Minecraft 26.2, published August 7, 2026 alongside matching builds for 26.1.2 and 1.21.11. Older Minecraft versions back to 1.18 have their own matching Friends&Foes releases, but only the newest build gets bug fixes going forward.
