Take It Out is a Java mod for Fabric, NeoForge and Forge that pulls blocks out of shulker boxes, whether the box sits in your inventory or in the world. It is built around Litematica schematics: right-click a schematic block and the mod fetches the item and places it. It runs on both client and server, so both sides need it.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric: Minecraft 1.20.1 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21.1 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies.
  • Forge: Minecraft 1.20.1. The newest build needs no dependencies.

What it does

Three routes lead to the same result, a block in your hand without a trip to storage. Use the pick block key (mouse wheel), Litematica Easy Place, or plain right-click with Auto Take Out enabled.

  • Easy Place places schematic blocks exactly as the schematic defines them.
  • Auto Take Out fetches the needed item while you place blocks by hand.
  • Auto pick toggles with R, and extraction switches between single item and full stack with B.
  • Works with the original Litematica printer, the BiliXWhite printer fork and Tweakeroo Restock.

Linked containers and groups

Look at a placed shulker box, chest or barrel and press H to link it. Linked containers work across dimensions, show an outline in the world and feed the Litematica material list. An All Items tab lets you search and request items (left-click for a full stack, right-click for one), and a Containers tab manages links. Mark a dump container with G to store items displaced during swaps. Container groups save named setups and can be published to the server for other players to import. Box Selection links every container inside a cuboid at once.

Multiplayer and setup

Install the mod on the server, or use the companion plugin for Paper, Purpur or Spigot. Bukkit plugin builds stopped in 2024 at 1.21.8. Open settings with X + T, from the Controls menu, or through Mod Menu. The Java mod install guide covers the mods folder and loader profile.

Questions about Take It Out.

4 questions

Which Litematica tools does Take It Out work with?

Take It Out is built around Litematica schematics. Easy Place places schematic blocks exactly as the schematic defines them, and Auto Take Out fetches items while you place blocks by hand. It works with the original Litematica printer and the BiliXWhite litematica-printer fork, and it supports Tweakeroo Restock.

Do I need Take It Out on the server too?

Yes. Both client and server are required. On public servers, install the mod itself, or use the companion plugin for Paper, Purpur or Spigot. Older clients will not work with current servers, so update both sides.

Which containers can Take It Out pull items from?

It pulls from shulker boxes in your inventory, and from linked shulker boxes, chests and barrels placed in the world. Linking works with the H key, and it also works across dimensions.

Does Take It Out conflict with other mods?

Item Swapper may conflict, since both change item picking, which can cause wrong selections or odd hotbar swaps. It supports Tweakeroo Restock and both Litematica printer variants named on its page.
