Unlimited Villager Trades is a Minecraft Java mod that removes the stock limit on villager trades. Normally a villager stops after 12 trades and makes you wait for a restock. Here you keep trading emeralds for resources without that pause. It ships for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a plain datapack, and it must be installed on the server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt: Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What it changes
The pitch is a single change. Villagers never run out of trades. If you farm emeralds and want to turn them into large stacks of a trade good in one sitting, this removes the waiting. Nothing else about villagers is described as changed.
Installing the mod or the datapack
Pick one route, not both. The mod route suits you if you already run a loader. The datapack route suits you if you want no loader at all.
- 1.Mod route: install Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt for your Minecraft release, using the Forge and NeoForge guide if you need it, then drop the mod file into the mods folder.
- 2.Datapack route: download the plain datapack from Modrinth. It needs no mod loader and no other dependency.
- 3.On a multiplayer setup, install it on the server. Players joining do not need their own copy.
- 4.New to loaders? The Java mod install guide walks through the folder layout.

Questions about Unlimited Villager Trades.
4 questions
Does Unlimited Villager Trades need to be on the server?
Yes. The server must have it installed, whether as the mod or the datapack.
Is there a datapack version of Unlimited Villager Trades?
Yes. The project ships a plain datapack alongside the loader files, so no mod loader is required. The mod files cover Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
Does it need Fabric API or any other dependency?
No. The newest release lists no required dependencies on any loader or in the datapack. You install the file for your loader, or the datapack, and nothing else.
Do villagers still restock with this installed?
You no longer need them to. The mod stops villagers running out of trades, so the 12-trade limit and the wait for a restock do not apply. You keep trading emeralds for resources as long as you like.
