YDM's Weapon Master makes the items in your hotbar visible on your character. A shield and a banner each get a unique location. It runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and is required on the client and optional on the server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.16.2 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.7.10 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What shows up on your character
The mod reads your hotbar and mounts matching items on the player model. It recognises sword-type items, tridents, shields, bows, crossbows, banners and digging tools. Compatibility with items from other mods is good for these types.
- Weapons and tools from the hotbar are drawn on the character.
- A shield and a banner each have a fixed location.
- The visibility of each item can be switched on or off one by one.
Settings and multiplayer behaviour
Press V to open the settings window, where you switch the visibility of each item on or off. Hide an item and other players stop seeing it on you.
Older releases came as a client-only file, where only you see the items, and a multiplayer file, where everyone sees them. From v4.1.0 onward the two are merged into one release.
Installation
Pick the file for your loader and your game release, then drop it into the mods folder. The newest releases need no other mods. If you have not set up a loader yet, follow how to install mods on Java Edition. Launch with the loader's profile and press V in a world.

How do I open the Weapon Master settings?

Can other players see my weapons with YDM's Weapon Master?
