GSit lets players sit, lay, crawl, spin, and bellyflop on blocks or other players with a simple right-click, adding lightweight roleplay and social gameplay to Paper, Spigot, Purpur, Bukkit, and Folia servers. It supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.16 through 1.21.11 and needs no client-side mod, since every pose renders through vanilla player animations.
Installation
- 1.Download the GSit plugin file from its Modrinth page.
- 2.Place the .jar file in your server's plugins folder.
- 3.Restart the server so GSit registers its commands and permissions.
- 4.Right-click a stair, slab, carpet, or other seatable block to sit, or right-click another player to sit on them.
- 5.Run /gsitreload after editing config.yml to apply changes without a full restart.
Commands and permissions
Every GSit pose is available as a slash command in addition to the right-click interaction, and each one has a matching permission node so operators can enable or restrict individual poses.
Commands
- /sit: sit on a block or trigger the right-click sit interaction
- /lay: lie down on the ground
- /crawl: crawl along the ground
- /spin: spin in place
- /bellyflop: perform a bellyflop animation
- /gsitreload: reload config.yml and the language files
Permissions
- GSit.Sit, GSit.Lay, GSit.Crawl, GSit.Spin, GSit.BellyFlop: gate each individual pose
- GSit.PlayerSit: allow sitting directly on other players
- GSit.ByPass.World: bypass per-world restrictions
- GSit.*: grants every GSit permission
Compatibility with other plugins
GSit adds its own WorldGuard region flags for sitting, posing, and crawling, and it honors GriefPrevention and PlotSquared claims, so builders can allow seating in public areas while blocking it inside protected land. It also exposes PlaceholderAPI placeholders for a player's current pose, useful in scoreboard or tab-list plugins.

Questions about GSit.
5 questions
How do I install GSit?
Download the GSit jar from Modrinth, place it in your server's plugins folder, and restart the server. Right-click a stair, slab, or carpet block afterward to sit, or use /sit, /lay, and /crawl directly. Run /gsitreload after editing the config to apply changes without a restart.
Does GSit work on Folia?
Yes. GSit lists Folia alongside Paper, Purpur, Spigot, and Bukkit as supported server software, so region-threaded Folia servers can run it without a separate build or extra setup.
Which Minecraft version does GSit support?
GSit supports Java Edition servers from Minecraft 1.16 through the current 1.21.11 release, with updates tracking new Paper and Spigot builds as they ship.
Does GSit need a permissions plugin?
No. GSit ships its own permission nodes, such as GSit.Sit, GSit.Lay, and GSit.Crawl, that work with any Bukkit-compatible permissions manager, including LuckPerms, or with Bukkit's default operator permissions if no manager is installed.
Is GSit compatible with WorldGuard and GriefPrevention?
Yes. GSit adds WorldGuard region flags for sitting, posing, and crawling, and it respects GriefPrevention and PlotSquared claims, so server owners can restrict the feature per region or protected plot.
