One Player Sleep+ lets a single sleeping player skip the night for an entire server, replacing Minecraft's vanilla sleep-percentage requirement outright. It runs as a server plugin on Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot, and only needs to sit on the server; players join with a normal client. It runs lightweight, with cached config values and pre-processed messages keeping per-event overhead low.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.16 to 26.1.2. The newest build needs no dependencies.
Features
- One player sleeping skips the night for the whole server
- Optional weather clearing when night ends
- Independent toggles for skip broadcasts, command feedback and console logging
- Fully customizable plugin display name and message colors
- Enable, disable and reload commands built into the plugin
Configuration
Settings live in plugins/OnePlayerSleep/config.yml, generated automatically the first time the plugin starts. It controls the display name used in chat messages, whether rain and thunder clear alongside the skipped night, and separate switches for broadcasts, command replies and console logging. Editing the file and running /oneplayersleep reload applies changes immediately, no restart needed.
Permissions and commands
Commands sit under oneplayersleep.toggle for enabling, disabling and checking status, and oneplayersleep.reload for pulling in config edits; oneplayersleep.* grants both at once. All three default to OP, so servers running LuckPerms hand out access with a single /lp permission set command instead of relying on operator status for every trusted player.
How to Do One Player Sleep in Minecraft Multiplayer! (1.21+)
Questions about One Player Sleep+.
5 questions
How do I install One Player Sleep+?
Download the jar, drop it into the plugins folder of a Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur or Spigot server, then restart the server. The config.yml file generates automatically on first launch and reloads with /oneplayersleep reload.
Does One Player Sleep+ work on Folia?
Yes, Folia builds are published alongside Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot builds, and the newest build across all of them needs no dependencies.
Does it need a permissions plugin?
No. Its permission nodes default to OP, so it works without any permissions plugin installed. Servers already running LuckPerms can assign those nodes to specific players or groups instead.
Will it work in the Nether or the End?
No. Sleeping only skips time in the Overworld, since that follows Minecraft's own sleep mechanics rather than anything the plugin changes.
Can I require more than one player to sleep?
No, it is built specifically around a single sleeping player triggering the skip; there is no setting to raise that threshold.
