Quick Ender Chest is a quick ender chest plugin by RiriFa that opens a player's ender chest from a command, with no chest block needed. It runs on Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot servers. It is server-side only, so players join with an ordinary client and install nothing.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.17.1 to 1.21.11. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally LuckPerms; some builds for 1.20 to 1.21.4 require KotlinMC.
What it does
The feature set is deliberately narrow. Two commands cover everything.
- /ec opens your own ender chest wherever you stand.
- /uec followed by a player's Minecraft name opens that player's ender chest.
- quickec.open.others is the one permission node listed, and it gates /uec.
Installation
- 1.Download the plugin file for your server software from the Modrinth page.
- 2.Drop it into the plugins folder of your server.
- 3.Restart or reload the server.
- 4.Grant quickec.open.others only to staff who should see other players' chests.
The newest release needs no dependencies. A permissions plugin such as LuckPerms is optional, and is the easy way to hand out the permission node. For general steps, see the plugin install guide.
Trade-offs
Opening another player's chest is powerful, so restrict that permission carefully. If you want more than a shortcut command, this plugin will feel thin. If a shortcut is all you want, it does that one job without extra setup.
Questions about Quick Ender Chest.
4 questions
How do I open my ender chest with Quick Ender Chest?
Type /ec in chat. The plugin opens your own ender chest wherever you are, with no ender chest block nearby. To view another player's chest, a player holding the quickec.open.others permission can use /uec followed by that player's name.
Which permission lets staff open other players' ender chests?
The permission node is quickec.open.others. Players with it can use /uec to open a named player's ender chest. Grant it through a permissions plugin such as LuckPerms, or through your server's own permission setup, and keep it limited to trusted staff.
Does Quick Ender Chest need to be installed on the client?
No. It is a server-side plugin and client installation is unsupported. Put the plugin file in the plugins folder of your Bukkit, Paper, Purpur or Spigot server and restart it. Players then join with a normal client and use the commands.
Does Quick Ender Chest need a permissions plugin?
No. The newest release has no required dependencies, and LuckPerms is optional. A permissions plugin only helps you assign the quickec.open.others node to the right people. Opening your own chest with /ec needs nothing extra.
