Spartan AntiCheat is an anticheat plugin from Vagdedes for Bukkit, Spigot, Paper, Purpur and Folia hosts. It watches players for combat, movement and world cheats, then warns or punishes them. It is required on the host side and unsupported on the player side, so players install nothing.
Server software and versions
- Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur and Spigot: Minecraft 1.7.2 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
Installation
- 1.Put the plugin file in the plugins folder of your Paper, Spigot or similar host. The plugin install guide covers the steps.
- 2.Restart so the plugin loads.
- 3.Run /spartan charge and click an item in the menu to add detection time.
- 4.Edit the configuration, then apply it with /spartan reload.
What it blocks
Combat checks cover Aura, Aimbot, Reach, Criticals, AutoClicker and AntiKnockback. Movement checks cover Flight, Speed, NoFall, Timer, Blink and Step. World checks include FastPlace, BlockReach, Tower and statistics-based X-Ray. Elytra and Entity checks are described as very basic, and FastBreak and Nuker detection applies only to 1.13 and newer hosts. Geyser detections are listed too, and the spartan.bedrock permission marks a player as a Bedrock player.
Commands and permissions
- /spartan info [player] opens a menu of a player's violations (spartan.info).
- /spartan reload reloads the configuration (spartan.reload).
- /spartan panic silences every check and disables punishments (spartan.manage).
- /spartan toggle switches a single check, and toggle-punishment does the same for its punishments (spartan.manage).
- /spartan bypass exempts a player from a check for a set time (spartan.use_bypass).
- /spartan kick, warn and wave handle staff actions (spartan.kick, spartan.warn, spartan.wave).
The spartan.admin and spartan.* nodes grant everything except the bypass permissions, so be careful giving them to operators. Operators can be exempted through the op_bypass option in settings.yml. Commands show hover descriptions in chat and support TAB completion.
The plugin may open outside connections by default or through configuration, and it publishes statistics to bStats, which you can disable.
