Cute Pumpkin is a cute pumpkin texture pack for Java by novflix. It trades the stern carved pumpkin face for a friendly one at 16x and leaves every other texture vanilla. It only needs to be installed on your own machine, since a multiplayer host cannot load it.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.16.2 to 1.21.11.
What changes visually
The carved pumpkin face is replaced with a soft, huggable expression in place of the vanilla scowl. The new face shows both as a placed block and in first-person when you wear it as a helmet.
- Simplistic, vanilla-like style at 16x
- Suits wholesome survival worlds, cottagecore builds and gentler Halloween decoration
- Works with shaders and with other texture packs that do not touch pumpkins
How to install Cute Pumpkin
- 1.Download the .zip from the Modrinth page.
- 2.In the game, open Options, then Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder, and drop the .zip in.
- 3.Move Cute Pumpkin to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
New to packs? The guide on installing resource packs on Java and Bedrock covers the same steps with more detail. A pack made for another release can still load, but it shows an incompatibility warning.
Known limitations
Everything except the carved pumpkin face stays vanilla, so other blocks and items keep their usual look. If you want a wider restyle, you will need to add other packs alongside this one.
Questions about Cute Pumpkin.
3 questions
How do I install the Cute Pumpkin resource pack?
Put the downloaded .zip in your resourcepacks folder, which you can reach through Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. Then move Cute Pumpkin to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen. It needs nothing else, and it only has to be installed on your own machine.
Does Cute Pumpkin work with shaders?
Yes. The pack only swaps the carved pumpkin face and keeps everything else vanilla, so it is compatible with shaders and with other texture packs that do not change pumpkins. It shows the new face both in first-person helmet view and on placed blocks.
Is Cute Pumpkin available for Bedrock?
No. It is a Java pack hosted on Modrinth, and Bedrock uses a different pack format. Nothing on its page points to a Bedrock release, so Bedrock players need a different pack.
