Transparent Inventorys is a simplistic 16x transparent inventory resource pack for Java. It makes all vanilla inventories look transparent. xSpinHDx made it as a small vanilla-like tweak rather than a full retexture, and it only needs to be installed on your own machine.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.16 to 26.1.2.

What changes visually

The creator's description is short: the pack makes all vanilla inventories look transparent.

  • Style: simplistic and vanilla-like, at 16x.
  • Covers: all vanilla inventories.
  • Needs: nothing else. The newest release lists no required mods or companion packs.

How to install Transparent Inventorys

  1. 1.Get the .zip from the Modrinth page and keep it zipped.
  2. 2.In Minecraft, open Options, then Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder, and drop the file into the resourcepacks folder.
  3. 3.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen and open an inventory to check it.

The full walkthrough, including Bedrock differences, is in our guide to installing resource packs. A pack built for another release can still load, but it shows an incompatibility warning.

Trade-offs and limits

Transparency costs contrast. Bright or busy scenery behind a panel can make slots and item counts harder to read. The pack is Java only, and its description covers vanilla inventories, so do not assume it restyles screens added by mods.

Questions about Transparent Inventorys.

3 questions

How do I install Transparent Inventorys?

Put the .zip in your resourcepacks folder. You can reach it through Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. Then move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen. If the pack was built for another release, it still loads but shows an incompatibility warning.

Does Transparent Inventorys need OptiFine or another mod?

No. The newest release lists no requirements. You only need to place it in the resourcepacks folder and select it. Nothing needs installing on a multiplayer host, because the pack runs on your side only.

Is there a Bedrock version of this transparent inventory pack?

This listing is for Java Edition only. Bedrock uses a different pack format, so this file will not load there. A Bedrock player needs a pack built for that format instead. The supported range for this Java pack runs from 1.16 to 26.1.2.
