It is Java only, needs to be installed on the player's own machine, and is tagged potato, low, shadows and vanilla-like on Modrinth.

Each video is linked in the changelog of its release. The files for every episode are also free on Patreon, and they are posted here for anyone who has trouble reaching Patreon.

Questions about Make Your Own Shaders.

4 questions

Is Make Your Own Shaders a finished shader pack?

No. It is a tutorial series. Each release has a YouTube video that walks you through everything, and the aim is to let you play around and be creative. Treat it as study material rather than a ready-made visual overhaul.

How do I install Make Your Own Shaders?

Install Iris, place the episode's .zip in the shaderpacks folder, then pick it under Video Settings > Shader Packs. After that, open the video for that episode and follow along with the files as the creator explains them.

Does Make Your Own Shaders work on Bedrock?

No. It is listed for Java Edition and builds for Iris, which is a Java mod. Bedrock cannot run Iris, so the shader files and the lessons built around them only apply to Java players.

Where can I get the files if I cannot use Patreon?

The creator posts the files for each episode on Modrinth for anyone who has trouble reaching Patreon. The same files are free on Patreon, and each release's changelog links its video.
