PVP ZeroX

A PvP-focused shader that trades atmosphere for clarity, with motion blur, TAA, full brightness and bright player and arrow highlights. Three presets, and every effect can be switched off.

PVP ZeroX is a vanilla-like shader pack built for PvP by LoLip_p. It runs on Iris and OptiFine for Java and is tagged potato for performance impact. It works only on your own machine, so a multiplayer host needs nothing installed.

Shader loaders and versions

  • Iris and OptiFine: Minecraft 1.8.9 to 26.3.

What it changes

The goal is a readable picture, not atmosphere. Motion blur smooths movement, and TAA removes flickering while keeping more information in each frame. The rest of the pack strips away anything that pulls your eyes off a fight.

  • Full lighting brightness, so dark areas never hide an opponent.
  • Bright colour highlighting of players and mobs.
  • Arrow highlighting.
  • Particles can be disabled.
  • Adjustable sharpness for a clearer image.
  • Reduced terrain saturation, so the ground stops competing with targets.

All settings can be adjusted, enabled or disabled, and 3 presets cover different tastes.

Installation

You need Iris or OptiFine first. If you have not set up either, the shader install guide covers it.

  1. 1.Get the PVP ZeroX zip from Modrinth.
  2. 2.Place it in the .minecraft/shaderpacks folder.
  3. 3.Launch Java, then open Options, Video Settings, Shaders.
  4. 4.Choose PVP ZeroX.

Trade-offs

This is a utility shader, and it looks like one. Full brightness and muted terrain colour flatten the scenery, so it suits fighting more than build screenshots. If something fails to load, the shader troubleshooting guide is the next stop.

Questions about PVP ZeroX.

3 questions

How do I install PVP ZeroX?

Install Iris or OptiFine, then place the PVP ZeroX zip in the shaderpacks folder inside your .minecraft directory. Launch Java, open Options, then Video Settings, then Shaders, and select PVP ZeroX.

Does PVP ZeroX work with both Iris and OptiFine?

Yes. Builds exist for both loaders, and the newest release of each needs no other mod or library. Both cover the same range of Java releases, so you can pick whichever loader you already use for shaders.

Is PVP ZeroX good for low-end PCs?

Modrinth tags PVP ZeroX as potato, which marks it as a light shader. That is editorial metadata, not a hardware promise. Effects such as motion blur and TAA can be switched off in the settings if you want to reduce load further.
