Move Subtitles is a Minecraft Java mod that moves the subtitle box to any place on the screen. It runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge and changes only how your own display is laid out. It belongs on the player's machine, since a multiplayer host does not support it and gains nothing from it.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.20 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- Forge and NeoForge: Minecraft 26.1 to 26.1.2. The newest build needs no dependencies.
Choosing a screen position
Settings live in a configuration file that the mod creates on first launch. Its "edge" key anchors the subtitles to one of eight spots.
- TOP_LEFT, TOP and TOP_RIGHT for the upper edge.
- LEFT and RIGHT for the sides.
- BOTTOM_LEFT, BOTTOM and BOTTOM_RIGHT for the lower edge.
- deltaX and deltaY shift the box by hand, relative to the chosen edge.

How do I move subtitles in Minecraft Java?

Does Move Subtitles work on multiplayer servers?
Install it only on your own machine. It changes where subtitles sit on your screen, so it is a player-side mod. A multiplayer host does not support it and does not need it.
Is Move Subtitles compatible with other mods?
The creator expects it to work with any other mod, since it only repositions the subtitle box. Toggle Subtitles and Colorful Subtitles are the two companions the creator suggests.
Does Move Subtitles work on Bedrock?
