What Eating Animation Resource Pack works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |

| Minecraft versions | 1.21.4, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2, 26.3 |
Eating Animation Resource Pack is a 16x tweaks pack for Java that adds an eating animation to every consumable item. It relies on the item model changes introduced in the 1.21.4 snapshots, so no mods are needed. Only the player installs it.
The item textures are inspired by those in the Eating Animation mod.
If you prefer your own art, override the textures inside this pack with yours. That makes it a handy base for matching the animation to a different style.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.4 to 26.3.
What changes visually
The pack covers all consumable items, with the animation driven by item model changes rather than a mod. Modrinth files it under items, models and tweaks, and the textures stay at 16x.
Nothing else needs installing, since the newest release lists no requirements. The pack works on the player's side only and is not supported on the hosting side of multiplayer.
How to install it
- 1.Grab the .zip from the Modrinth page.
- 2.In Options, open Resource Packs, then choose Open Pack Folder.
- 3.Drop the .zip into the resourcepacks folder that opens.
- 4.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
The general guide to installing resource packs covers the same steps in more detail. A pack made for another release still loads but shows an incompatibility warning.
Known limitations
The pack is Java only and offers no Bedrock build.
Questions about Eating Animation Resource Pack.
4 questions
How do I install the Eating Animation Resource Pack?
Place the .zip in your resourcepacks folder, which you can reach through Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. Then move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen. If it was made for another release, it still loads but shows an incompatibility warning.
Does the Eating Animation Resource Pack need any mods?
No. The animation works through the item model changes added in the 1.21.4 snapshots, and the pack's own text says no mods are required when you are above 1.21.4. Its builds cover 1.21.4 to 26.3, and the newest build lists no dependencies.
Is there a Bedrock version of this eating animation pack?
No. This pack is made for Java only, and Bedrock uses a different pack format. Modrinth hosts Java content, so Bedrock players need a separate pack made for their own format rather than this one.
Does the eating animation work in multiplayer?
It works less well there. The creator asks players to vote for the related bug so the pack works better in multiplayer.
