Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair is a 16x Java resource pack that fixes one thing. Mandala's GUI textures the crosshair differently from vanilla, and this patch brings the vanilla crosshair back. It is a tweak for players who like the rest of Mandala's GUI but want the familiar aiming reticle.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.16.2 to 1.21.10.
What changes visually
The pack reintroduces the vanilla crosshair that Mandala's GUI textures differently. That narrow scope is the trade-off, since it has no purpose without the pack it patches.
How to install Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair
- 1.Open Options, then Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder. On Windows this is the resourcepacks folder inside AppData\Roaming\.minecraft.
- 2.Drop the pack's .zip file into that folder.
- 3.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
- 4.Place it at the top of the list, above Mandala's GUI.
Known limitations
This is Java only. There is no Bedrock format. It applies on your own machine and is not supported for dedicated hosting. A pack built for another release can still load but shows an incompatibility warning, so expect that notice when you play on a release outside the supported range. It needs no other mods or libraries.
Questions about Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair.
4 questions
How do I install Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair?
Put the pack's .zip file in your resourcepacks folder, which you can reach through Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. Then move it to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen. Make sure it sits at the top of the list so it overrides Mandala's GUI.
Why is my crosshair still not vanilla?
Most likely the pack order is wrong. This patch must have the highest priority, so it has to be above Mandala's GUI in the Selected list. If it sits lower, the restyled crosshair from Mandala's GUI takes precedence and the patch has no visible effect.
Which versions does Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair support?
It is listed for 1.16.2 to 1.21.10. The newest build requires no other mods. On a release outside that range the pack can still load, but you will see an incompatibility warning.
Is Mandala's GUI Vanilla Crosshair available for Bedrock?
No. It is a Java resource pack, and Bedrock uses a different pack format. The pack is published on Modrinth, which hosts Java content, and nothing in it points to a Bedrock version.
