No Block Break Particles is a simplistic Java Edition resource pack that removes the debris particles scattering when you break blocks. It covers Minecraft 1.8 through 26.2, needs no other mods, and runs on the client only. The goal is a cleaner, calmer screen while mining, not a frame rate boost.
Version and setup facts
- Edition: Java only.
- Versions: Minecraft 1.8 to 26.2, with 92 builds published on Modrinth.
- Requirements: no mods or companion packs.
- Side: required on the client, unsupported on the server.
What changes visually
Breaking a block normally throws a burst of small textured fragments. This pack swaps the particle texture for a fully transparent one, so the burst is no longer visible. Mining stone, dirt or ore leaves a clear view of the block face and the ground around it, which suits anyone who finds the constant scatter visually overstimulating.
Known limitations
Some blocks have no model that lets a pack set the particle texture, so their particles stay visible.
- From 1.8, signs, banners, all chests and barriers still show particles.
- From 1.9, the End portal and End gateway are added.
- From 1.10, skulls are added.
- From 1.11, Structure Void and all shulker box variants are added. From 1.12, those two are no longer listed and beds are added.
There is one mod conflict. Enhanced Block Entities makes shulker boxes invisible when its Enhanced Shulker Boxes option is set to On. Switch that option to Off or remove the mod.
Questions about No Block Break Particles.
4 questions
Does No Block Break Particles improve FPS?
Not meaningfully. The pack hides the particles by giving them a completely transparent texture, so Minecraft still spawns and renders them. The benefit is visual, a cleaner screen while mining, and any performance gain will be small or absent.
Which blocks still show break particles?
Blocks whose models cannot set a particle texture keep their particles. On 1.8 and later that means signs, banners, all chests and barriers. Newer versions add the End portal, End gateway, skulls, Structure Void, shulker boxes and beds, depending on the version.
Does No Block Break Particles work on a server?
It is a client-side pack, listed as required on the client and unsupported on the server. You install it in your own game only. It needs no mods, and it targets Minecraft Java 1.8 through 26.2.
Is No Block Break Particles available for Bedrock?
No. This pack is for Java Edition only, with builds covering Minecraft 1.8 through 26.2. It is a client-side resource pack that needs no other mods, so you install it in your own Java game. Bedrock Edition is not covered by this project.
