What Dimanic Beds works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |
|---|---|
| Minecraft versions | 1.21.4, 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2, 26.3 |
Dimanic Beds is a Java resource pack that lets beds stack vertically, so bunk-style setups work without any support mods. It replaces the bed model instead of adding textures, which keeps beds looking natural beside other blocks. It is a player-side pack only, with no loader involved.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.4 to 26.3.
What changes visually
Beds get a custom model that can be piled on top of each other. Because no new texture is added to the bed, it works with literally any other resource pack.
Choosing an option
The creator ships three options inside the project, each tied to a range of releases.
- 26.2+ is where the original idea is fully realised.
- 1.21.6 to 26.1.2 uses the original model.
- 1.21.4+ is the compromise. Its model must keep a specific amount of detail or it cannot be read.
How to install Dimanic Beds
- 1.Get the .zip from the Modrinth page and pick the option that matches your release.
- 2.In Options, open Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder, and drop the .zip in.
- 3.Move Dimanic Beds to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
A pack made for another release can still load but shows an incompatibility warning. If you have not installed a pack before, the resource pack install guide covers the folder steps in more detail.
Questions about Dimanic Beds.
4 questions
Does Dimanic Beds need any mods?
No. The creator built it to work without any mods, and the newest release lists no required dependencies. It is a plain resource pack: place the zip in the resourcepacks folder and enable it on the Resource Packs screen. It runs on the player's side only.
Does Dimanic Beds work with other resource packs?
Yes. It adds no new texture to the bed model, so your existing textures keep their look while beds gain the stackable model. The creator says it works with literally any other resource pack, which makes it easy to combine with a full texture overhaul.
Is Dimanic Beds available for Bedrock?
No. It is listed as a Java pack on Modrinth, and nothing points to a Bedrock release. Bedrock uses a different pack format, so the Java zip will not load there.
Which Dimanic Beds option should I choose?
The creator offers three. Use 26.2+ for the original idea, 1.21.6 to 26.1.2 for the original model, and 1.21.4+ when you play on that older release. The 1.21.4+ option is the one that depends on a limit on model detail, so it is the compromise.
