Gous's Hand Poses is a Java resource pack that extends the Hold My Items mod with extra hand poses. It is a small addon, and its creator says it may grow later. It runs on the player's side only and is not supported on dedicated hosts.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.5 to 1.21.11. The newest build requires Hold My Items and Respackopts.
What changes visually
The pack adds three poses to the way your arms hold things. Each one can be toggled, so you keep the ones you like and drop the rest.
- Throwing pose, built around the resource pack 3D Tools and Utils.
- Offhand planting pose.
- Shearing pose.
Everything else about item holding stays with Hold My Items and whatever other packs you run on top of it.
How to install Gous's Hand Poses
- 1.Install Hold My Items and Respackopts, which the newest release requires.
- 2.Place the .zip in the resourcepacks folder (Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder).
- 3.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.

Other packs can detect this one and turn its features off to avoid clashes. The creator exposes global flags for planting, throwing and shearing, which you set from an item_addon or hand_addon script. A separate flag lets you swap in custom shears animation, with adjustable frame ranges and rotation for each hand.

No. The pack is an addon written for Hold My Items, and the newest release requires that mod along with Respackopts. Install both before you enable the pack, since the poses are built for Hold My Items.
Can I turn off individual hand poses?
Yes. The throwing, offhand planting and shearing poses are all toggleable, so you can keep only the poses you want and leave the rest to the default look.
